Just to humor me, Money:

Interstate 69 has been on the books in various iterations and spurs (69W, 69C, 69E) for decades now. Yet is still a disjointed and incomplete roadway with US59 filling in the gaps. If my memory serves, Congress authorized the highway but did not provide funding. Funding was left to state and local agencies.

I am not as sanguine as you that this roadway will ever be completed in a reasonable (<10 years) time frame. What are your criteria for placing this on your listing, and if this status is unchanged ten years hence, will you change your mind?

:)
For this reason, I disagree with the notion of even tracking the future interstates. That being said, INAM tracks US Highways, so this isn't much different. Pretty much all of the "future interstates" are US Highways. I guess I'd just prefer them to be tracked as such and not as some speculative "future interstate."

It's just on my list, because it's a listed future Interstate. I am aware that the current state in most of the Southern states has been "If he comes with the money, we will build it."
But I do make adjustments for current fastest routing.
In the case of I-69, the current alternative route I use has one particuarlly large gap: Brinkley, AR to Kuttawa, KY.

Plus, these future Interstates are usually already partially built, and, as PLUS EV notes, they are often defined along or close to significant US Numbered Highways. If there's a hole in the Future Interstate network, there's a hole in the highway network.

In any case, there are still some oversize gaps on Current Interstates.

@ItsNotAboutTheMoney , have you considered expanding you list to include Canada? Would be pretty useful considering winter driving up there (450 wh/mi is quite normal -10 or -15F) so minding those gaps is important.
You'd have to define which highways you were considering. Obviously there are some massive stretches in the North, but mostly the list would be something like Jasper to Prince George/Kamloops/Canmore, nearly the entire Crowsnest Highway, etc. I think Wawa to Sault Ste. Marie is the biggest gap on the TCH (not counting the incomplete eastern portion).

Starting with major highways would be a good start . Trans Canada highway, 401, 417, 40 type of thing. Kingston - Ottawa can be surprisingly tight on those -20C days and heading south of the border via the Landsdowne crossing /81 is a similar story in winter .

OT while in high school I had a summer job working on I69 between Angola, IN and Marshall, MI. That highway has been one fo the real oddities on the Interstate system. OTOH, it was a great summer job for a near destitute kid. At the time nobody check age very much.

I do note them, I just haven't looked much at the max gaps. I haven't done all national highways.

Trans Canada Highway obviously has coverage, except in the east. The biggest aside from the East end are :
Wawa, ON to Saulte Ste Marie, ON - 222.5km
Hope, BC to Cache Creek, BC - 193.3km
Levis, QC to Riviere-du-Loup - 190.7km
Whitewood, SK to Brandon, MB - 189.3km
Deep River, ON to Nepean, ON - 178.6km
There are 4 more gaps over 160.9km (ignoring the east).

It's 1501km from Aulac, NB to the end of the TCH in St Johns East.

Don't forget Billings to Miles City, MT. That's 152 miles between superchargers. Technically I-90 to I-94, but that's semantic if you're driving it. :)

Custer, MT, which would split that gap, is now listed as "target Q2 2022" - we'll hope!
So does putting Q2 in front of the 2022 mean they are serious this time? I'll drop by Custer tomorrow for a look-see and keep folks informed. The 150 miles from Miles City to Billings means even leaving with 100% charge I have to drive carefully when the temperature is in the low negatives. At -20 in the wind and snow, the going is a bit slow. Charging at Custer would mean I could drive my usual speeds. Well, I could if the roads were clear and 10.8.1 didn't limit speeds to 80 mph.

It generally means they are more serious than if it just had the generic year listed without the quarter. Places with just the year you can think of as Tesla has identified their desired hosting location and are in discussions with them. Year and quarter are like places where they have an agreement with the hosts for expected construction in the future. Depending on how close the quarter is to the last time Tesla's map was updated loosely corresponds to how far along in the planning and permitting process they are.

How about this list? Gaps are in kilomet(er|re)s. I don't have all Canadian Highways. Some here are national, some are provincial.
There is a "National Highway" network which are considered strategic, but they are numbered provincially, aside from the TCHs.. I "connect" some like BC-3/AB-3. These are all the gaps greater than or equal to 160.9km.
In case anyone is wondering how those two places in Ontario have a big gap, when they're both on the TCH it's because ON-11 is a northern loop.
Oh, and Levis, QC to Riviere-du-Loup, QC appears twice because I have them listed under both QC-20 and the TCH.

Is Interstate 11 on your list? It is signed for a short distance south of Las Vegas towards the Arizona line.

There is talk about having a Supercharger in Wikiup, north of Wickenburg.

Cheers!
I-11 is on my list. I-11's route isn't fully defined so I just list to Tonopah, NV.
But the largest gap is only 129.9 miles so it's not on the list on this thread.

I would make the cutoff 200km which would shorten up the list quite a bit. It's pretty clear that there are many near the bottom of your list where Tesla is unlikely to shorten the gap for years if not decades.

Also, Edmonton is between Edson and Vegreville, but I'm sure you have some diversion reason for not including that. When I drove that route, I did a long charge in Vegreville so I could avoid Edmonton but that was partly due to the fact that I had already been to the Edmonton supercharger and partly because I wanted to avoid rush hour traffic in Edmonton as much as possible (no idea how bad it is, but it was 5pm on a weekday and I didn't want to find out!).

Wow ! There are some looooong stretches out there . Kinda makes Ottawa - Kingston (180) look short :)

I guess these gap concerns might go away if we eventually get CCS adapters (in a pinch it can help reduce gaps)

Pathetic splitter!
Baytown, TX at a Buc-ee's,splits 127.6 miles along I-10, 9 miles from Channelview, TX and 118.8 miles to Lake Charles, LA.
But it's v3, and more convenient off the Interstate than Channelview, TX.

Still, no work started in Custer, Montana. At least not as of last week. I'll keep an eye out........
The location in Custer/Big Horn/Forsyth has been removed from the map in Tesla's latest quarterly update. They're likely still wanting something there but whatever spot they had been working on may have fallen through or been indefinitely delayed.

Thanks for that update. It was listed when we looked 1/15/22 as Q2-2022. Now there is nothing on the map at all. Suboptimal that.........
