Equipment is on site and construction has begun. No sign of a transformer yet.

I saw a relatively new looking transformer, but it appears to be for the gas station (pre-existing).

same!! it’s right by my parents house where there used to be zero chargers so i’d have to stop in mount vernon for ever so i’d have enough to get there and back. a nightmare!

A guy named Christian added a few more photos and comments on one of my FB posts about this. He said it was ok for me to re-share them here.

I spoke to the crew. They said they couldn’t tell me when exactly it will open even if they knew. They said they build them and then the transformer is installed by someone else (Ameren?). I thought it was going to be Q2 but he said they were scheduled for early March but were told start earlier.

I'm not sure what the two new boxes/cabinets are. Switch gear?

I can't make out enough detail in the construction photo to see the pre-formed pedestal bases, but the fact that they're gone from the staging/storage area suggests that they're in place now, and it looks like I can kind of see the tops of them just behind the curb.

Any updates on this by chance? I’ll be heading that way sometime in the next month and this is my ideal charging location.

It wasn't open as of 3/11/22. It looks to me like everything is there, the green transformer box is there. I will be going past it Friday and will look again.

So darn close I could taste it. They took down the fence last week but NO power at the charger. Station attendant knew nothing. Has to be very soon.

I stopped by yesterday and discovered that only the first few chargers have power. There was someone on the 2nd charger so I started down the line. When that one didn't work, I moved to another. That one didn't work either. I finally moved to the first charger and it worked just fine. I don't know if that has something to do with it not being "officially" open or not.

Only the first couple chargers seem to work. I discovered that yesterday (3/23).
