Latest Software Update

I've watched a video supposedly showing the latest Autopilot improvements, and they seem to be better than before, (In light traffic), but I find it hard to trust the Autopilot when basic auto summons is so Iffy and can't seem to find my location at about 40 feet away.

Summon has always been quirky, AP in general is much better. Don’t use it if it makes you nervous, but try it before deciding not to use it.

BTW, “latest software update” doesn’t mean anything. The latest update for your car is not the same for everyone, and the latest for you is a moving target. Using specific version numbers will get you better responses.

Autopark and Smart Summon are arguably more embarrassing than FSD. Musk said the team release deadline was Sept 30 2022 but that came and went. Maybe partly related to the sudden transition from ultrasonic sensors to cameras.
