So I've turned off auto-present on my car. I did this mainly to reduce cycling of the door handles when I go into my garage for something other than driving away. Anyway this means that the car remains locked until I press a door handle. When the car is locked, so is the charging cable. The ordinary morning routine is to unplug the car, hang up the charge cable (a HPWC) then get in the car. Except I can't push the button on the charge cable to remove it. It responds to the button press by turning the port blue, but does not unlock it even though I have my fob in my pocket. So I use the fob to unlock the cable but that is annoying. The car lets me open the (manual) rear hatch when the car is locked if I have the fob in my pocket. Why shoudn't it unlock the charge cable when I press the button on the cable if I have the fob in my pocket??

Seems like a simple software fix.
