Picked up yesterday at 5 PM at Fremont Delivery Hub. It was real fast and smooth, even though the Delivery Specialist seemed brand new to the job. It was a bit perplexing that I knew a lot more about the car than he did.

But no matter. I had time to look over the car, and am happy to report no obvious defects. It took all of 20 minutes, and most of that time was signing on the dotted line. Also happy to report that it came with V10, and the front plate holder was not installed.

Naturally, after weeks of warm, dry weather, yesterday was cold and rainy. I spent about 45 minutes at the Hub setting up the seats, mirrors, storing it in my profile, and authorizing my phone as a phone key. I had to pick up my son at the Oakland airport (on my way home), but had FOUR hours to kill! It was dark, cold, rainy, and in an area I am totally unfamiliar with. But no matter, I had a blast driving around, getting lost, using the excellent Nav system, listening to that awesome sound system, and finding the closest SC just for the heck of it.

Happy Thanksgiving everybody, and here's wishing a great Model 3 holiday season!
Congrats!! Enjoy it!

I don't know. I've been dealing with showroom SA's from the start thinking the personal interaction would assure me a better delivery experience. It's been mixed, through no fault of their own. Whoever is responsible for clicking the "perform trade-in valuation" button just needs to do it. My trade-in valuation has been in the "in progress" state for five days. Afraid of being in some weird queue limbo, I removed the trade-in valuation yesterday and immediately re-added it in hopes it would trigger some kind of notification to the trade-in/finance department. It's a completely paid off car registered only under my name, the scenario can't be any more basic. I'm going to call the Fremont Delivery Center first thing tomorrow morning to escalate. I'll call whoever I need to. It could be a nightmare driving to the showroom where I placed my order because it's on Santana Row which will likely be packed with Black Friday shoppers. I hate shopping crowds.

My experience with the trade-in valuation around mid October also just sat there for 3-4 days with nothing. Expecting the car in two weeks as quoted when I ordered from the site, I wanted the quote locked in. I finally emailed my SA who apologized for the non-evaluation, he said he would contact the trade-in department, and half an hour later, the quote I had gotten was on my account. That was probably a over a month ago. With the wait expected to drag into December, I was annoyed and figured quote would be re-evaluated with more depreciation on my trade-in. I switched to a stealth last week and got the notice for pick up for this Saturday. I was asked to submit copies of title and registration of my trade-in and the quote from October is what they are giving me.

I don't know if my SA is a showroom SA, but I assume he is not. He contacted me through email when I made an inquiry about the Model 3 through the website. When I email him during work hours, he responds very quickly, usually in less than 20 minutes. My thinking is this, a showroom SA probably wouldn't be the better delivery experience, as their job is mainly to deal with customers walking in and demonstrating the cars. Follow up with customers is probably a secondary task. In the traditional dealership model, yes, this would be the case, as they are getting commission and you are a priority to them. With Tesla, I believe delivery is handled by a delivery specialist who only helps to get your ducks in row for them to get you in and out asap.

Really? I’m in AZ as well but haven’t heard any update about delivery. When did you get the delivery text? I ordered before you on October 5th, and switched to Stealth Performance on Nov 20.

What color did you order? I ordered white.

10/16/19 - Ordered M3 AWD
11/20/19 - Changed to P3D-, 19" Wheels, Midnight Silver Metallic
11/27/19: Received text message to arrange delivery (no MVPA provided yet). Only date available was 11/30/19 with 3 times to choose from.

I sympathize with you. I had

I’m in a similar situation. Saturday delivery but no MVPA which I need to finalize my loan. I’m waiting on them to appraise my trade-in; no MVPA without it. I don’t want to trade my car into a CarMax because if I end up rejecting my delivery I won’t have a car. No can do. I’ve been ghosted by three Tesla advisors after they said they’d help me. I know it’s not their fault so I’m not angry. I’m going to call and badger them tomorrow to get it done. As politely as possible.
Get your quote from Carmax and don’t trade in to them. Tesla will match and you get the tax savings. I just sold my private party but they will match Carmax or atleast you will know the bottom dollar if there’s were to be Carmax.

Scottsdale, AZ. P3D- 19" wheels. I have delivery on Saturday 30-Nov (day after tomorrow) but have yet to receive my MVPA from Tesla. I'm getting my own financing from Credit Union who can't process a check that needs sent overnight to Tesla without the MVPA. Not sure if we can pull this off...Tesla's back office sure could use a lot of improvement. My sales rep who has been awesome seems to be doing all of the legwork but still constrained by Tesla inner office. This might get interesting... Apologies for the rant however Tesla will need to step up their customer service with the new competition firing up!

Update:
I called the local service center and had no other option then to leave a voicemail - so I did.
I then called Tesla Customer Support 1-888-518-3752 and spoke to a nice representative that said some servers were down including the group that provides the MVPA documents since sometime on Wednesday; that's why I haven't received mine yet. She said she will call me when they are able to add my MVPA to my account.

If anyone else reading this today (29-Nov 2019) receives their MVPA maybe shout out so I can see if I was just provided a line of bull...

At the risk of getting flamed (I'm new, be kind)

What is an MVPA? When are we supposed to get one? What is it used for? (I did search for MVPA, but it turned up hundreds of results)

I have a VIN, I have been approved by Alliant for my loan. But I don't see an MVPA button my order page.

I think you're right. If I could do it over I'd work with a SA who's only job is to reach out to customers via email or telephone. Got off the phone with someone at the Fremont Delivery Center and they gave me the same spiel: they'll send an email to the "market" (??) team to push the trade-in through, and then they'll be able to generate an MVPA. They told me the same thing Wednesday so I have almost zero confidence this will happen. Also, they said the team who's responsible for approving trade-in's may not be in today. Hilarious. They had three days prior to Thanksgiving to get it done.

Yeah I did do that. Funnily enough, the Tesla Advisor I spoke to on Wednesday urged me to drive out immediately to get that appraisal done because Tesla would be able to rate match me that same day. So I rushed out in the pouring rain in traffic to get the appraisal. Right after, repeated attempts to reach that same advisor were unsuccessful. He completely ghosted me.

My credit union needs the MVPA in order to finalize my loan. It's a purchase agreement.

Right after posting this, my Tesla page updated with a trade-in offer. It was only $100 less than Carmax's offer so I accepted. Then right after a Tesla Operations Advisor called me to get more information (photo of car's current mileage), and she said she will generate the MVPA for me. She's very proactive and has a sense of urgency which I truly appreciate. I still don't have an MVPA yet but she said I should have one by this afternoon. She said she'll even call me again today to follow up. I was never upset with any service advisor I worked with, just a little disappointed. But for now I'm happy again.

I have an update for the folks in Utah. Just checked my account page and now my VIN is showing (its been showing in the source code for about a week) but the lending agreement was still messed up so I called the delivery center. He emailed me a copy of the lending agreement and said that my car was currently on the truck and headed this way. He took a look to see if he could move my delivery date closer but he said he wasn't able to tell if the truck was going to come up from the South via Las Vegas or go North through San Francisco which is apparently dependent on the particular car hauling company that is moving the car. It would get here in a two or three days if it was coming from the south and three to four days if it goes North so he recommended leaving the delivery date as December 6th for now until they get a better idea of when the car will be in SLC. I was hoping to try and pick it up tomorrow but that was probably a little too optimistic.
