Outside of that, it will still a pleasant experience despite the DC being more of a converted wherehouse than a dealership showroom (but that's ok, if it saves money and that savings is passed along :) ). Definitely nothing fancy like a BMW dealership haha.

DC in SoCal looks far better compared to Fremont! Had to take delivery with heavy down pour yesterday, fremont DC looked pretty empty with only 2-3 people taking delivery..

For all the folks who discuss about their SA's, I never spoke or communicated with my assigned SA, apart from the initial "welcome to Tesla family email". I wouldnt have take delivery of my stealth without the help of people here, had no idea that there was such a trim, Thanks for all the valuble tips and suggestion

One last thing, if any one has any luck with getting a quote from Tesla Insurance, please post here. Looking to compare it with Geico..

Happy Holidays everyone! Enjoy Stealth!

Have you paid in full already? I read that they won't ship until that happens but am hoping that's not the case because they're so slow getting my finance info that delivery in time won't be possible.
Oh yes. Did that a week or so ago. It is my understanding as well they will not ship until fully financed. I didn’t go through Tesla financing tho - they were too high.

Still having issues getting a Tesla insurance quote. Now it lets me get a little farther, but then once I enter the driver info, it says, "We are unable to get a quote for this driver. Please review the information below." Anyone else getting this?

I had the same issue. Must be a system problem.

Me too! I called the insurance 800 number, and they reported it to tech support.

I noticed the name on my CA driver’s license has my middle name, which my account does not. I changed it on my account, but the insurance page still hasn’t reflected change. Not sure if that affects anything.

Anyone get any further with this? I'm still having same issue. I've still got nine days before I have to get covered, but I don't want this to fall into a black hole of tech/customer support.

I took delivery at the Fremont Delivery hub this past Saturday, and while I absolutely love love LOVE my new White Stealth Performance Model 3, the delivery experience was pretty basic and flat out.. terrible?

I hate to sound like a whiner but when I purchased my Model S back in 2017, it was something special. They had us all walk into a nice warm and covered showroom with all of our cars lined up with enough space to check out the entire body of the car. It was just a very engrossing and thoughtful experience.

This time with my Model 3... It was a bit of a let down. While everyone was VERY nice, the point at which we actually got to take our car was just not proper etiquette for someone spending close to 60k on a car. Instead of bringing the car inside and out of the elements, they instead took us to a parking lot with a bunch of tightly packed cars and handed us they keys. It was windy, rainy, and storming at this point and it all felt so ridiculous.

I love my car, I love Tesla, but that left a sour taste in my mouth and sort of fouled up an otherwise WONDERFUL day. I love my car. Truly. This is the best Tesla car you can get in my opinion. The only thing wrong with it is my front USB ports do not work. Not a big deal, I'll get them fixed in a week with Mobile Service. Other than that problem the car looks and drives like a well made supercar. It's tight and solid, no rattles, no odd sounds or noises when driving, no body or panel gaps, and the 18 inch wheels with a performance level of acceleration is CASH MONEY.

TLDR: Delivery experience was terrible, White Stealth Performance Model 3 is AMAZING AND INCREDIBLE.

Still having issues also. Called their insurance number to speak with someone about it and they said they can't provide a quote over the phone and that the only way to do it was through the website. They told me to make sure that my address was in my profile as that can cause issues occasionally. They told me to try again later tonight and if it still wasn't working then to call back and they'll try to connect me to technical support.

About 2 or 3 days. It's probably being track tested, safety checked, and prepped for delivery.

For real? I gotta say, the sales dept isn’t nearly as good as the cars.

I ordered a sr+ on 10/20. No vin, no news, nothing. I called them about getting the car before the end of the year and they said they “can’t guarantee”. I told them we’d be away for christmas and they said “if you dont pick up the car in 3 says it goes to someone else”. Wtf?

then the sa said they a stealth one sitting right there where I live. I said i wanted it, she said she made the change. I called the next day to make sure everything was in order, and the store manager said they sold my car to someone else “5 minutes after you called.”

again, wtf?

so he said mine is now in pre production and I’ll be assigned a vin. I thought pre production meant I was kicked back to the end of line or something.

Yea the purchasing experience with Tesla can leave a bit to be desired. But once you get your car all those worries and fears and stresses will melt away.

Preproduction is a good thing though. It means you're about half way there.

Agreed, and it was the same with my pickup in Fremont. Even worse, the guy who was my "delivery specialist" looked more like he was drafted from some other department to help with the December rush.

Mind you, I was ok with that. I doubt there is any DS or SA that knows more than what I've learned during the "long wait". The only solid he did for me was to turn on mobile access. Otherwise, I would have been stressing about why my Tesla App didn't have access to the Model 3.

Thanks Mike, keep us informed and I will do likewise. I suspect this is a minor blip that will resolve itself in a day or two. At least I hope so.

I just insured my stealth that I'mabout to pick up on Wednesday. I used State Farm with whom I have another car, house, and earthquake policies. If you do have multiple policies, it is much cheaper to bundle them with one carrier - even more than one car can likely hep.

Granted I am 66, but my rate in the Bay Area for full and good coverage is $470/6 months. For a $58K car, that doesn't suck. "Multi-line" discounts really help save $. I don't see how Tesla could beat it. Especially in California where all the insurers deal with insuring Teslas every day.

I have had State Farm for.. well, forever. Have a few cars, umbrella, home etc.

That said, I've read here that Tesla Insurance is often the cheapest around, maybe because they are insuring their own vehicles. Having Tesla Insurance should make any repairs go a lot smoother. I've also read a few reports that said Tesla policy holders get some priority in parts delivery.

Makes sense. We'll see what they come up with. More important for me is saving on homeowners and E-Quake. That runs a lot - far more than the cars. But adding the cars into the bundle reduces everything.

Yea my Delivery Specialist was sort of clueless on why we wouldn't want to stand outside in the whipping wind and rain while we try to inspect our 2nd Tesla. It was kind of silly but I don't blame him. I'm jealous of the poster who posted pics of his delivery experience down in LA.

Ugh I'm supposed to get the car on the 11th. I just got the MVPA Saturday but am waiting for them to make a change to the price due to down payment. Sounds like I'm not gonna get the car in time :(

Anyone been told their car is in preproduction? My SA gave me the vin and it’s in the source code. However, it hasn’t been updated on the page and still no delivery date. Anyone know how long a car stays in “preproduction”? Thanks for the info.
Mine was in this pre-production stage for 2-4 days I would estimate. Part of it is their fit and finish stage as well as their safety checks I believe.

+1

It was a let down but my excitement to finally get my car overrode that anyways. Expected more on the delivery but the car has delivered more than I expected. I'll count it as a win. :D
