Lucid Air - panel gaps, or is this by design?

I saw a Lucid Air the other day, and on the roof there appears to be a piece in the back that is a separate piece from the rest of the roof?

Is this just by design, or is it functional in some way?

I had to zoom in to get a pic of the region that I'm talking about, so it is not that clear. In person this roof panel looked like that something that wasn't completely snapped in, it actually looked much worse in person that in photos. The car did have manufacturer plates, so it's possible it wasn't in as good a shape as one to be delivered to a consumer.

In general it is a good looking ride, but that piece really looked out of place.
