If you have or can borrow an IR temperature gun you can find the exact temp it reached when it reduced current.
There must be a specific temp where it limits current, probably too hot to hold. If the temp is reasonable (maybe under 120F or so) it points to the UMC or adaptor.
The last time I got the charge error I started charging at 32A at around 10PM and the error came on around 1:20AMHow quickly does reduced charge error happen? Is it right away (within 5 to 10 minutes) or does it take an hour or two? Does the mobile connector have red blinking "T" in the Tesla logo when it happens?
I tried charging last night with a new TMC at 20A last night and no error. I will try tonight at 32A and use the IR gun to see actual temps.
Never actually looked at he lights on the Charger when the error came out, I'll take notice next time
