Melbourne to Mount Buller in standard Model Y with loaded roof pod possible?

Has anyone driven from Melbourne to Mount Buller (Horse Hill car park) in a standard model y with 4 passengers and roof racks carrying gear in a pod? Doable? I’d love to know battery consumption and the general experience. I’m 3-weeks new to my Tesla and would appreciate any advice. Also - is fitting chains same on Tesla as ICE car? Many thanks

Ru speaking from experience or is this just vague armchair advice? ABRP says a full charge at Yea would leave me at 38% at Horse Hill with a big climb, sub-zero temps that battery doesn’t like. Wouldn’t make it back to Yea with 38%

Many thanks - just submitted a request to join the group. I also noticed that Mansfield Shire Council is about to light-up a new fast charger in the coming weeks it looks like. This will make a huge difference. New EV Charger Coming to Town
