bumpJust curious for those that have it, can you open/close the door from anywhere as long as the Tesla is at home?
You can install our site as a web app on your iOS device by utilizing the Add to Home Screen feature in Safari. Please see this thread for more details on this.
Note: This feature may not be available in some browsers.

Your car will still open the garage automatically from the car as it approaches. Just don't have button in app.Wait....seriously? I just purchased homelink on the tesla store "just" because of this feature being added to the app. It will prevent me from having to take my garage door opener to and from my car every time I need to go to my garage. I don't have FSD and I don't see why on earth they should be linked...
We have a M3 with full self driving and the homelink icon shows in the phone app. We also have a 2013 MS and there is no homelink icon for the same garage door. Both cars open and close the garage door just fine. As others have said it would be much nicer if the release notes stated specifically that the homelink feature on the app was tied to full self driving and that maybe it will become available to those of us with legacy cars in the future....
My garage doors have their own app separate from tesla that works to monitor, open or close doors from my phone anytime.Just curious, can you open/close the door from anywhere as long as the Tesla is at home?
My car has all the options including HomeLink. HomeLink works great from the car, but not while trying to activate it from the app. Car is in the garage and can’t get any closer.
This is what I get.
You will only see it with FSD due to the Summon feature.Ok.. I have a M3 and wife has MS (she has FSD)
When I view my M3 in the App under 'Controls' there is no Homelink.
If I switch over to her MS (on my phone) it shows Homelink under Controls.
Correct, the model 3 does not have FSD.Correction...
Although the Homelink shows in her side of the App, it apparently does not open the garage because her car is not in the vicinity.
But again, when I switch to my car (Non FSD) - the Homelink option is not displayed under Controls.
Correct, the model 3 does not have FSD.
