I had a rock hit my glass roof on H1 a few days ago and now I have a 15 inch crack.
Has anyone had a local shop besides Tesla replace their roof? Tesla won't have the parts in stock to replace my roof for atleast a month.
My insurance USAA said I need to go through Safelite to get it replaced. I called Safe lite and they said Tesla roofs are hard to get, it would take them 48 weeks to get the roof piece, not 4-8 weeks they said 48 weeks.

Yikes! I mentioned at Cost of Model 3 roof glass replacement and other places about the glass roof on the 3 as a contributing factor as to why I ruled out the car.
Spoke to USAA today and they said since Safelite will take so long I can go through Sunroof express. Called Sun roof express and they said only Telsa is allowed o repair Tesla cars.
Now I gotta fight with USAA again.
They will if one is available. The two times we've needed one for our M3 shop work, they gave us a MS P85 from Enterprise as a rental. (Funny thing, both my wife and I prefer the 3 to the S after living with it for a week or so each time.)
