Model 3 - LR AWD Waiting Room

I have seen this go from may 29th-june 18th to what it currently is june 4th to june 24th. I ordered a white with black interior and 18in aero wheels awd long range. I think I will get it second week in june. I am in westchester county ny so I will be picking up in mount kisco.

Ordered in March to ensure I would get delivery by the end of June at the latest. When I took a test drive in middle March the guy said "100% certainty" I would get it before the end of June if I ordered in March, hell he even said (March 16th) if I put in an order that weekend I stood a fair chance of getting one in March. Looking like September now with the latest news. Well I guess that's an additional three months of saving for the down payment. The scary part for me is that I'm out of the country from Aug-early October. This could pan out for me that I ordered late March but get delivery late December. What a crummy day.
I think most mars will come through by end of June. They may be sitting in the service center lot for a few more weeks waiting for a part, but that won't take until September.

Tesla will take a beating if they delay a lot of cars until the fall. I'd probably cancel my order entirely and buy something else, and I'm sure I'm not alone. I want my fun car for the summer coming out of COVID lockdowns :) For me, end of September means about 5-6 weeks until I start getting snow on the ground.

personally I dont think it is really that bad as people think .. Between the current ev incentives expiring in certian states, coupled with the price of gas going up a dollar in the last 5 months and the gas shortage in the south east, many people are just saying the hell with it .. I am going to order my tesla now.

Granted alot of us were going to get one regardless, some others see this as an opportunity to justify the purchase. I think most of this waiting is just a crazy amount of orders and not enough inventory right now to go around. Working in information technology I can almost tell you that whatever firmware glich there is .. will be resolved shortly as tech companies do not like the bad press.

For those of us who ordered in mid april, we are kidding ourselves if we were going to get the car before 6 weeks. When I ordered it was a 5-8 week lay up time which for me was anywhere from may 29th to june 12th which has held quite true . I am now at june 4th to june 24th or 1 week out from the estimate. That is not that bad

Not a gas shortage but a ransomeware attack that cause supply chain disruption. The stupid hysteria is calming down and theres gas at stations without people lining up for it.

Though the price is still pretty high for the area

So my estimated delivery dates have been showing “9 - 13 weeks from order placed date” for nearly a week now (6 days) so I wrote my SA a fairly direct text message. She called me and said the “delivery specialists” are trying to work through some recent “logistical challenges” and have put a bunch of them back to the weeks until they can sort through them. I will take that with a grab of salt. Additionally, I asked what is the most updated delivery date for my car and she said “I’m seeing your car will be ready for delivery first week of June but that can change” — I feel like this was a pretty honest answer. I also pressed her a bit on production and she said cars are still being produced but cannot be delivered right now due to the aforementioned “logistical challenge.” She reassured me, given that I ordered on the first day of this quarter, that I will be getting my car this quarter.
