Model 3 - LR AWD Waiting Room

Alrighty so, ordered 4/10 delivered 6/4 at Buena Park. Delivery was smooth and the only problem was a slightly misaligned trunk and a mangled trunk gasket. First impressions (and comparing to the '18 MR that's been in the garage): so much quieter and more comfortable! I'm skeptical of the laminated front windows being the sole source of the noise reduction, but maybe the revised rear trunk deck ('21 no hole, '18 with hole) helps. Seats feel slightly narrower but maybe we've broken in those '18 seats. NO PASSENGER LUMBAR on my car, VIN 979XXX. Also, the synthetic leather steering wheel feels way nicer than the legit leather. LR AWD is no comparison to MR RWD, I have no idea who can justify $2k for AB because I wouldn't be able to handle it. Let me know if you have any questions about taking delivery at Buena
I'm picking up from Buena Park also. How long after you got the VIN were you able to pick your car up? Was the lot full of cars waiting to be picked up? Does the dash flow onto the door also? Does your car have an 82kWh battery? Sorry for all the questions, btw.

No apology necessary, I got the VIN on 05/29 after hours and was able to place my delivery appointment in the morning at 08:00am. My earliest choice was 06/03 (might have been due to Memorial day) but I was able to pick between 06/03 and 06/07, which was enough time for me to move money around. The lot was full of cars but I have no clue if they were new deliveries. It seemed like they were doing the deliveries in groups of four. I arrived 10 minutes before my appointment and the delivery specialist showed me to my car and encouraged me to look it over, check functions, and note any defects before I paid or signed. Behind me were 2 other parties, I'm assuming with the same appointment time. The four cars were lined up with personalized signs on the dash with names printed on them (one white SR+, 2 white LR's, and a black LR with 19" wheels). The dash does indeed flow onto the door, and honestly, it doesn't feel much different from the non-refreshed door card. I have no clue which battery I have, but sliding the charge limit to full in the app shows 352.

Once again Tesla pushed out my delivery date. Originally was 6/2 and now was this morning. Got a call from SA that car is still not at my dealer! How does a company like Tesla not have an accurate delivery schedule. I told my SA i have a life and had to rearrange my work schedule now twice! Beyond ridiculous!
That's not re-assuring. My delivery dates have shifted earlier a couple times now with today now being the first day of the EDD, 6/7-6/13. However still no option to pay or schedule delivery in my account which makes me think it's not as close as the dates suggest. My SA says it's estimated to arrive 6/10 but he hasn't set up a pickup day yet. I'll believe it when it actually arrives. Agree you would think once it's being transported should be fairly easy to give a fairly accurate delivery date.

SAs have no idea that is why. Transport for Tesla is about efficiency. They don't care about your delivery dates. The delivery date gets scheduled based off the idea that a vin means your car is x amount of days from landing. My car arrived on my delivery date at 9am. Any later and my date might have got pushed back. Pure luck,

Thanks!!! Congrats on getting your car! It's good to hear that they encourage you to take your time looking over the car before paying or signing. I've heard that other places aren't like that.

Do the online chat people even read what you type or not? Before I found out that they're pretty much useless I asked "hey, would it be possible to get an update on this, RNXXXXXX, anything else other than the EDD that i can also see?". They reply with "sure, let me look up your account to get you an update". They type back 2 minutes later saying "Your EDD is June 19- June 30 which you can also see on your order page, thank you and have a nice day". Do they even read what we type? LOL

I also called my store (Santa Barbara) a couple times, one VM to my SA never returned, one VM to new vehicle deliveries never returned.

6/12 - 6/30
Not only are the MSMs being close to last in production, but my SC is apparently being spited by the Tesla delivery gods; that or I am repaying sins from a prior life.
Almost 20% of 2021 has been spent waiting....
Yep. Almost everyone on this thread has taken delivery or at least gotten their VINs. Maybe except for those new ones that just ordered late May or even June. Only us with MSM and red I think left. Today my dates has tightened on both ends. From June 9-19 it’s not June 10-18.

Omg. I’ve had this response a couple of times. The last one was even worse. Yesterday I did another chat because my EDD was only 3 days away and I still have no VIN. Someone named Alex just said please contact your local service centre and SA so they can further assist you. He then disconnected the chat connection without even waiting for what I’ve got to say. Terrible.

Order Day +51. Songs no longer bring me joy. Food has lost its taste. My vision is cut to 256 colors. One of them may not even be MSM. Should have gone with white ...
Day 47 for me. EDD changed to June 10-18 from June 9-19. It's smaller window so I think it's a good sign. Being in the west coast having no VIN is not really concern since it take 2-3 days to transport the car from Fremont to Vancouver.
