Mine narrowed to like a 6 or 7 day window and then boom got a VIN mid-day.The narrowing continues
9/1-9/9 to 9/2-9/9
July 7 Order
I’m guessing a VIN should be coming soon

@trilly - I just uploaded my insurance info and saw in the completed tasks section that my amount due has decreased by exactly $2,000. I assume that's the Charge Up rebate. I was hoping that the discount would be taken off the total price of the car (lowering my monthly payment) rather than the amount due at signing. But oh well, it shouldn't be too hard to call up the bank and tell them I want to give them more money.@Doug03 If/when I hear back from them, I'll post here so others in NJ can see as well. That was my understanding as well re: Tesla handling it.
And I just took this one out of the cellar and into the fridge. Another when I get the car.Boom! I have a VIN. Delivery date: August 30 - September 05
And no squirrel. Sharks work also!
I think the white interior is definitely more of a wait. I’m 6/11 order and still waiting on a vin.Is anyone else with white interior in limbo? Mine keeps pushing back. Currently at 30 Aug to 16 Sep
I’d hardly say I’m “wrong”. Just a different interpretation of how Tesla handles model years. The OP said he might wait for the 2022 model year because changes might happen. This is unlikely to occur.Tesla made huge changes from the 2020 to 2021 model year in Q4 2020 so the idea that they don't or won't make changes between model years is wrong. They might not make huge changes this go round but it is absolutely a valid concern there could be changes starting in October for the 2022 model year. In fact there probably will be at least some changes (likely a range increase for sure). Whether it is worth waiting for is all speculation and up to the individual person to decide.
Also no need to get chippy bc you got called out for providing wrong info as it happens all the time. I've gotten corrected many times myself.
Hopefully they’re starting to push more white interiors out! The lack of communication is frustrating…..I think the white interior is definitely more of a wait. I’m 6/11 order and still waiting on a vin.
well i would start checking in the afternoon around 5 alongside your usual morning check to see because i received my email/VIN in the afternoonYeah I’m not sure if I will unless I update to that glorious 7 day window later. Lol looks like someone else’s changed this morning so mine might be put for today
I see mine waiting to get loaded onto a truck!
I havent gotten the final payment option yet either, or an email at all for that matter. So I got my VIN yesterday with an EDD of 18-23, but only the “finish payment” email and no “delivery email. I text my SA non existent SA again hoping for a reply but as usual got nothing.
As of today my delivery is now 19-22, which seems insanely soon for not having had any contact
Nice!!!! Congrats.OMFG.... 11:40PM CST and I just got my "Confirm Your Order Update" email.... VIN!!! VIN!!! VIN!!!

Also how quickly does the prompt for final payment come up? Actually surprised mine didn’t prompt me for it yet.
So for us peeps that live 200 miles from the dealership and have to go to them to pick up we really have to make sure we thoroughly inspect the car before driving away!If I'm not mistaken you'll have 100 miles or 3 days whichever comes first...
Yes im financing through the one tesla provided, BMO Harris.Same boat here, did you finance it? I pick up in 4 days and still haven't been prompted for anything
Yep... I plan on driving around Nashville for about 30 minutes to an hour because of it. I don't go there often, so it'll be an experience. So for us peeps that live 200 miles from the dealership and have to go to them to pick up we really have to make sure we thoroughly inspect the car before driving away!
