Just got pushed back from 4/28-5/12 to 5/16-5/30.

I have realized from looking at this forum - among other sites - that the EDDs are quite unreliable…but has anyone had variability as outlandish as the following?

OD: 3/25
MI, Black/black, no FSD, no trade, cash
EDD1: May-June
EDD2: June 9 - July 26
EDD3: August-Sept
EDD4: June 9 - July 26
EDD5: Oct 2 - Nov 27

I contacted a sales associate and was advised that something transient likely happened at the factory and it will bounce back soon. Can I then infer that this means mine is likely coming from Shanghai? Lol

Ordered 3 days before you, same config and my EDD hasn’t changed 6/9 - 7/14… I might be in for some huge disappointment down the line with all these push backs

I think its probably fair to assume that even some of those June/July dates are going to ultimately get pushed back as well....

Thats rough. Id be even more discouraged if i got bumped back to a month window. Then again, i am still not confident that i wont eventually get bumped back out to a month window. Just makes me a bit nervous cause we have the exact same config. and both on the east coast. The only difference is our order dates. Mine was 2/14/22.

Id rather sit in a finance Office for three hours than deal with this nonsense.

When I was shopping for an Audi Q4 E-Tron for my wife, the estimates kept getting pushed back. They still haven’t delivered any to the United States. I tried looking for the iD4 and Mach-E and ran into similar delays. This isn’t a problem unique to Tesla. You are being overly dramatic.

It really does seem like the manufacturing line(s) shut down for some time, no? The VIN tracker has been sparse lately and EDDs are getting pushed out across all trims.

No. The fact that you’re willing to accept this sales tactic doesn’t make me overly dramatic. I was told ordering a car from Tesla was a superior experience. “no shady sales tactics, easier ordering, good customer service”. It clearly is not. If anything it’s worse. And this isn’t about comparing one EV to another. Teslas claim is that they are a better experience to ICE cars. This simply is not true. I was cross shopping all cars not just EVs when I made this purchase decision.

and I haven’t even started about the bullshit upgrades to get the car faster or the fact that people who have orders the exact same car after me have already received it.

Analyzing comments, it looks like all "push backs" are for orders 3/6 and earlier with most having OD in February. My OD was 3/15 and hasn't changed in almost a month....Crossing my fingers in continues to stay where it is....

EDD has been at 4/24-5/06 for a few weeks now. MSM/black/no FSD/Virginia. No VIN yet. Received the "do you have a trade in?" text message on 1 April, and a "prepare for delivery" email on 11 April. I can attest that the "prep for delivery" message is similar to a swift kick to the groin when you have not yet been assigned a VIN. Ouch...

Pushed as well at about 9:00am EST - now to 5/11-5/25. I'm going to remain positive and assume that this is to incorporate the third-gen console, dual-paned rear-view mirrors, and hairpin wiper motors into the Fremont assembly line tent.

Yeah were still considered Q2 deliveries… like last quarter we have seen a ramp up in deliveries around the last few weeks. That still can be true… everyone is getting pushed to May/June
