I would have preferred metal if cheaper in AZ heat, but will buy custom visors to cover (any recommendations?)

I'm not sure. I think it was partly to reduce complexity with variants and partly because the glass roof is actually safer than metal.

I've heard good things about the OEM glass roof visors, but I've only missed them during road trips. I'd def buy in AZ though. Dry heat is nice but good lawd, lick my lips and they're cracked 30 min later.
