Does anyone have any details on how reservations will work in the UK? Do we have to wait until 10am PST?
What worries me is the range. If it is 200 miles (150) it is not good enough for most people. The 'competition' are looking at 300 miles. I think it will be Mr Musk's surprise, with a higher range than 200. Fingers crossed.
Was this meant to be in this thread?? I'm convinced, you will be able to get big range for the right price, not £25k, but for a price you will be able to get 300+ miles.
When they talk of 200mi range I'm fairly confident they mean EPA rated range which is fairly realistic. Not European range which when they say 200 will probably be nearer 250 or more.
Yup. As we are 8 hrs ahead, and actual delivery to the UK expected to be late 2017 earliest, you might as well wait until web reservations start on 01.04
I think they were saying that you can order in store (in the US) after the announcement. 10am PST is 5pm in the UK (when is BST coming? Maybe 6pm), of which the Oxford Street store should still be open. Would we be able to reserve then? I can pop by after work!
The US is on daylight savings time since last Sunday. Tesla probably intends to start at 10 AM PDT. FYI, GSP
I have been told there is no intention to keep stores open past 6pm so we're screwed Unless there's an Atlantis branch
The Oxford Street store stays open til 9pm on a normal day London-Oxford Street | Tesla Motors UK Be interesting to see what their plan is.
I'm scouring the Internet for UK information for the release and still can't find much. I'm following Georg Ell @mrgeorgell on Twitter for any info and even tweeted him! No info there
"mudder farder kindly disregard this letter" it's all change again but won't be the last time I'd guess
I went to the Oxford St store about 2 weeks ago and asked them if registrations would be taken in the UK Mar 31 - they said "no one had told them anything" but would take my number. Didnt hear anything (yet?). Im tempted to wander up anyway as 5-6pm would seem to be about the right time but would rather know in advance.
10am PST is before the reveal, so you can order in store then. It is online that they said you can do during or after the reveal. Edinburgh Store is open until 8pm. So I think I will be through in Edinburgh then
they're now in PDT I thought is was summer in californ-I-A "all summer long" it certainly never rains
My product specialist from Knutsford has just told me. You can come in to store between 7pm and 11pm on the 31st March to put a deposit down or wait until the 1st April online. And: It is going to be £1000.
This is not going to be the case for all stores. Oxford Street will NOT be selling on 31st March, other stores will be. Was told best to ring the stores.
So that's around a $1400 deposit to wait even longer than everyone else for the RHD version. ) Still going to go for it though.
Phoned the Edinburgh Store on Sunday, and they confirmed that it was also £1000, but that we can go in at 6pm on the 31st March to make a reservation. Just so happen to be off that day. Might make a day of it. Pop in early for a look around the store.
