So, if you do get a battery warning, what kind of battery does a 2019 M3 need? Should I get one now to keep in the garage just in case or wait until a warning actually appears? if I had a 4 year old M3 I think I would change it as a precaution. Unless you are planning to sell the car soon you...

Most Model 3 batteries in UK would still be under warranty. Its only high mileage cars that would be out of warranty.
Of course, you may be looking to replace a battery for some other reason…
But if you have ballpark figure, I’ve heard 15k.

That’s very strange. Are the “new” ones poorly refurbed (in which case Tesla need better quality control) or just unlucky in the lottery of batteries? One thought is there an issue with the car they havent spotted which is degrading the batteries so fast? Conspiracy theorists would say they know the issue but cheaper to replace batteries than replace the car and timeout the guarantee……………..£17k?

But how/why have you gone through 3? Have Tesla explained at all?
2nd HV battery replacement!

M3Ps had a bad batch of batteries which was the original issue and they then fitted incorrect and/or bad batteries twice.
