It's only for new models, not new sales of existing models so won't apply until Telsa does a refresh that needs EU type-approval.

The manufacturer can choose how to alert the driver, which can just be a beep or vibration rather than actually slowing down the car and the driver can override.

I've not seen anything official from the government but it seems that the UK isn't going to adopt this anyway (and hopefully Tesla doesn't push out the same code to everyone in Europe).
That’s reassuring to hear, thank you 😀

I’m not sure that’s the case if Ireland are due to get a load of them in the next few months. I ordered around three weeks ago and the edd moved from Jan/feb to aug/sep. I’m still weary about that but they rang me on Saturday to ask me to complete the online process which makes me think the edd might be correct.
Lucky you :O I ordered on Feb 13, 2022 and still my EDD is Aug-Oct! Your EDD range seems much more realistic of getting in the current quarter!!

A happy thought of us those of us in Ireland...

Shanghai are reportedly producing Model 3's between 5-18 July, and we have EDD's of mid Aug-mid Sep which means....

...our cars are being made in the next 2 weeks 😀 *

* or not, who knows for sure?
Let’s just hope there is a lot of cancellations and they send a load to Southampton… im checking the app every 30 mins in the hope it comes forward

What production line changes? What improvements are to be expected?
Dunno but the info elsewhere on this forum was that the whole place was shut for 4 days. Now they are making model 3's for 2 weeks, then shutting down Model 3's and building Model Y's. Perhaps the changes are just efficiency, but perhaps the spec of the vehicles is changing too. I dunno.

What colour/spec is yours? Mine was aug/oct for a bit but moved forward again.

Part of me wants to wait for then next batch after this one with them upgrading the line. I would probably be a bit miffed if they were to make substantial improvements just after I got one.

I ordered M3 RWD red white 18 inch aero. Today evening I got an EDD update and it's Aug to September now!
I don't want to wait long! Our anniversary & wife's birthday is coming next month! So a good time would be to get the car! Fingers crossed 🤞

batteries in LR have increased capacity now
No they haven’t. The last increase was over 6 months ago with nothing else planned at present.

At the moment it just seems to be assembly efficiency changes rather than changes to the vehicle but until people do side by side comparisons we cannot be sure.

There is some new regulations coming into force tomorrow, which in the EU means that a car that is going faster than the speed limit will be automatically slowed down … the implications for the UK seem vague …
Good lord!

Pretty sure it'll be factory improvements rather than changes to the actual cars.

This is what triggered my comment … interesting youtube clip I thought …

RSymons RSEV is an excellent source of info if anyone hasn’t seen his videos on youtube.

He is an informed salesman. Better than most sales people but the fact that the information in this video is 6+ months out of date tells you he isn't an authority.
Maybe, I’d trust him though and would buy a car from him … I wish we had Tesla specialist near us. I have always found Merc salespersons to be trustworthy, and unfortunately JLR to be the opposite…

Tesla chat now not advising me of an EDD as I'm a lease customer through Zen Auto. Anyone else had this problem recently?
Same here. Cameron was not very forthcoming. Bring back Emma, she was much more informative :p.

I can see you are still waiting to be matched to a vehicle, your leasing company should be able to provide you with your delivery estimate. This is usually a 3 month window.

16:39
What does waiting to be matched to a vehicle mean? Is this on Tusker's end, or Telsa's. I have a text saying that Tesla have received my Model 3 order

16:40
Yes so when you place an order you are put into a queue then when a list of car VINs are released that are on their way from the factory to the UK, customer are matched to a vehicle in order of their place in the queue

16:41
So can you provide me with a rough timeframe in which I might take delivery?

16:43
Tusker can provide you with a timeframe for delivery, you can then schedule a delivery date once you are match to a car.

No point in contacting Tusker as they only refer to their webpage (and email responses take FFFFFOOOOOOORRRRRREEEEEVVVVVVEEEEERRRR ;))
