Hi,

I am thing about a staggered setup for my model 3 Performance. I will get custom hubcentric rings to fit the lip on the hub from the thinner rotor hat, no spacers.

Option 1. front 20x9 +37 245/35/20 and rear 20x10 +30 275/30/20
Option 2. 20x9 +9 245/35/20 square setup.

Thanks,

How necessary is a hubcentric ring? Do you guys offer hub rings for the P3D+ on larger centerbore wheels?

it's 50/50. Some wheel brands are made pretty well that hub rings aren't needed, even with the universal center bore size. Most of the time, it's usually the lower end wheels that'll be best with the use of hub rings.

We do have a 73.1 or 72.6 hub ring to a 64.1 but not a specialized ring for the step.

Shout out to Josh for helping me through the decision/purchasing process for new wheels. Currently running 19" oem sport wheels and although I like the look of 20s I went with 19s for a balance between comfort and appearance. New set up is staggered brushed silver Vertini RF1.2. I like the thin looking spokes and relatively simple design that looks easy to clean (I'm lazy).

Rather than tossing out the factory Continentals (or selling them used and take a big hit) was thinking about buying 2 wider tires for rear wheels. The oem contis also come on 275/35/19 which are 0.2' bigger in overall diameter so assume this would work with oem 235 up front. Only worry is whether a 275 would rub.

20x10+45, 275/30 square setup.

Suspect any issues?
Wheel and tire will touch the knuckle on the front. Car will look good but front wheels won't turn :(
There really should be a sticky with tire fitment info.
I run 265/40R18 with 39mm offset and there's about 4mm of clearance on the inside front. Mountain Pass Performance runs 275 width with 35mm offset in the front but they did get some rubbing under extreme cornering.

darn. didn't want to go much higher offset. guess i'll start looking for 9.5 options.

Your tire would probably hang out past the fenders a bit. A 25 offset wheel would add 15mm to stock (assuming stock is 40mm), then adding a 275 tire gives you another 40mm from stock. Assuming the additional 40mm of tire width is distributed inside and outside evenly you get 20mm of tire plus the 15mm offset of wheels making the whole setup stick out 35mm (approx 1.4") outwards from stock.

The term "too aggressive" is relative but probably most people would see a tire/wheel combo stick out an extra 35mm would call it that.

Sorry, you're correct, I should've defined that term more.

I'm using that term for it rubbing/might pull fender when lowered.

I don't like more than 1-2 degrees of negative camber, but goal is to get rid of wheel gap, have decent looking wheels (subjective) and not piss the wife off since this is her car, lol.

Pick up the car tomorrow, so will try to get measurements before ordering wheels, just trying to pick the community's brain ahead of time.

Thanks for all the help so far!

A 25 offset would very likely rub on the fender, especially if lowered. I just installed Vertini RF1.2 19x8.5 +30 with 235/40/19 front, 19x9.5 +35 with 275/35/19 rear. This is almost exactly flush. Currently my ride height is stock but I do have Eibachs waiting for install. I'm a bit concerned that after lowering there is a possibility of rubbing on full compression. Going to a +25 offset would put me outside of the fender.
