How did you get the transfer form? It’s not in my Tesla app as one of the documents to complete. Tesla service advisor?

After I actually actually ordered I received a text about the offer to transfer FUSC. I responded and started conversing with a person who sent it to me via email and I signed and sent it back.

Thanks, I’ll have to call or stop by and ask about that. The guy I was working with texted me this when I ordered the car, but nothing yet:

“A member of our Operations team will be emailing you over a form as we get closer to your new vehicle arriving that we will need you to sign and send back to us before you pick up allowing us to transfer the free supercharging from your current VIN # to your new one.”

Given your original EDD range wasn’t in 2023, this (delay in getting you the transfer form) may indicate Tesla’s lack of willingness to commit to honoring your transfer intent. I recommend you insist on getting and completing the form now / asap.

My original EDD was Dec-Jan, so hopefully it’s in the window. But yes, you’re right, I’ll contact them tomorrow. Otherwise I’ll cancel the order.

Now really hesitant about if I should take it if it's ready by the end of the year. Don't think Tesla is going to mention how the amount of tax credit will change starting 1/1/2024, so guess I will have to take the chances.

I too am leaning toward taking the risk on the tax credit for the 2024 model year…as long as I get the (FUSC) transfer.

No, not really. EDD still showing Jan 14-Mar 10. Am I the only one that checks daily, sometimes multiple times daily?

I think I may be okay taking a chance with losing half the Federal rebate, as long as FUSC transfers.

No, nothing yet. I texted my advisor a few days ago, no reply. I haven’t had a chance to stop by service center.

I stopped by a service center to get clarification on the FUSC transfer eligibility requirements, specifically the line that states Tesla will make an exception and honor your free Supercharging transfer request after the Dec 31, 2023 deadline if you were "provided with a delivery window in 2023 at the time you placed your order" (e.g. est. delivery date: Dec 2023 - Jan 2024).

The Tesla rep informed me that I was not eligible since the code on my MS is SC04. I found that odd since I have FUSC on my 2018 MS and agreed to the Terms and Conditions for transferring Free Supercharging to my newly ordered MX.

That doesn’t feel right; I have yet to hear of SC04. I have SC05 with my 2018 MS. I suggest you return to that person and prove that yours is SC05 with the technique previously shared on this forum.

Another option is to call Tesla and have them check your VIN to see if it’s transferrable.

Hold on, there are others that have been able to change their code from SC04 to SC05?
