Model X Long Range Plus Delivery Report

I have an order in as of 2/17, will report any news here. No VIN as of yet.

I’ve had an order as of 1/5 actually. I was supposed to take delivery of my LR a week after Musk’s earning call where he hinted at hardware changes/longer range so I put my order on hold. Right after the LR+ was announced I asked my service advisor to change my order reflect an LR+. Took a few days for that to happen but I’m all set now; though my order date was changed to 2/20 which I suspect put me at the end of the line.

This is interesting. Hard to believe they would stop all MX deliveries for 3 weeks but signs are starting to point that way. Sounds more serious than a software update:

And even S deliveries getting stopped until 3/7 blaming delay on new wheel replacement for cars already on the lot.....
Delivery delay - for Tempest wheels?

wow! With our experience yesterday, something def seems strange and out of sorts.

It’s all making sense now.

We placed an order for an existing inventory MX LR+ on 2/20 and were told we could pick it up as early as 2/21. Next day comes and they moved the date to Monday. I was told it was an update they have to do manually for the “plus” range update. Then today I learn we can’t pick up until 3/7.

While I was initially annoyed at the date being pushed and the manual update made no sense for a car that usually gets OTA updates, I’m somewhat relieved that this bug/issue was discovered and it seems like they’re working on a patch.
