Model Y/3 Pedestrian Speaker retrofit - now available for certain vehicles

I read it was supposed to turn off when going over 19mph, but mine stays on until I toggle it off no matter the speed. Just confirming that is correct.

Just requested the PWS retrofit and Boombox install on my July 2019 build Model 3 Stealth Performance.

I have the speaker grill and pretty sure I see the wire harness secured to the frame behind the bumper on the passenger side.

Pending Mobile Install 7/29/22 along with a few other minor fixes....broken charge port pin and faulty trunk weather-strip.

Will update with details and cost after service visit.

Kind of useless now since they took away the use while driving.

I'm sure this was enticing when this thread started a year ago. Since boombox has been completely gutted in the last couple of months, I don't see much benefit to having this added.
