I’ll be surprised if we get it over here. It’s so large as to be impractical with our road sizes (and parking space sizes!)

It's no higher than a Euro pickup and as wide as a VW pickup. It is quite a bit longer though.

My Navara pickup is 5.2M long and I think the CT is 5.8m long which they say might be shortened a little before production.

Rumours are gathering ref Model Y production starting earlier than expected. Obviously US and not UK

Model 3 deliveries started 25 days after its CARB cert.

CARB certificate for the Tesla Model Y Performance AWD published on January 9th.

UDDS range is just slightly higher than that of the Model 3 Long Range AWD Performance with 20-inch wheels. 441.91 vs 430.5.

fudge factor 0.7 meaning ~309 city EPA range v 280mi EPA quoted on Tesla site

What I don't understand is why I ban reserve a new Roadster, and order a cybertruck, in the UK, but I can't do either for the Y? The Y is definitely the next release. Really want to buy the wife one preferably next year at the latest.

I think you’ll be very lucky to buy one in the UK next year. My guess for RHD cars, based on the timescales for previous models, is sometime in 2022.

I'm pretty sure that's the plan. I'm sure I have read it somewhere. Elon hates transporting cars from one continent to the other as mentioned in 3rd row podcast.

Because they are both vapourware where as the model y is a reality.

Reservation made negligible difference to delivery of the M3 RHD in UK ... what did make a difference was being first to place Order after the Order Gate opened. Personally I wouldn't bother with a reservation. Buy some shares with the deposit maybe?
