After visiting my local SF Bay area showroom last week, doing a test drive and looking for an AWD inventory car with no luck I ended up placing an online order on Sat night. Delivery was listed between Nov 2018 to Jan 2019 on the website. I wanted to be sure to take advantage of the Federal and state rebates prior to the end of the year and figured I'd have a couple months to educate myself, decide if I want the 19" wheels, update my home charger etc. I also have a current e-golf lease and will most likely end it early.
So skip to today and I just got a text from the person who took me on the these drive on Friday. She mentioned that she saw I placed an order and she checked inventory and low and behold she found a car that matches my config (Blue AWD M3, Black interior, 18" wheels) and it's almost ready for delivery!
So my question is: Should I be concerned this might be a car that was returned for issues like poor paint work or many of the other delivery issues I'm reading about? Two days seems very fast for an AWD M3 in blue, no?
Are there any questions I can ask to make sure this is indeed a new, off the assembly line car? All comments are greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
