When is this baby gonna hit the US for sale? Can't wait!
Different battery types? I think the LR is using the legacy cells, and the standard has moved to the LFP cells?

The article itself mentions that they “expect small improvements” to the current range figures, but that nothing has been released officially yet.

The standard range (plus) Model 3 has been using LFP cells since the 2022 model year (some late 2021 model year cars had a slightly smaller capacity LFP battery as well).
Plenty of official information on Tesla web site in all markeds where the Highland is available and will have the first deliveries in a few weeks.

Well except that the ranges being quoted are US EPA figures, and it’s not available in the US yet…

Difficult to gather from the review(s), but I wonder how much smoother/softer of a ride the M3 Highland will have in comparison to my 2019 M3 LR?

I have an early 2020 M3 LR without heat-pump and I went in a ride in a M3 Highland at the same location as CarWow on September 1st and for me it was night and day. The M3 Highland feels and sounds like a German car while the 2020 feels and sounds like it was made in someones garage after too many drinks.

Motor Trend's red car is the same one that was spotted last Wednesday in NorCal (same license plate):
Sadly, just like the black one spotted in Utah, these cars are all Chinese as evidenced by the license plate mount so we're not any closer to an American release and all of Motor Trend's raving about quality may be misleading.
