New rear glass tint question. MS safelite lying to me?

So, i replaced my rear glass on my 2017 MS, at safelite.

I had a chip that spidered out and I wanted to get my car tinted so I bit the bullet and had new glass installed.

I asked the guy at the shop, how soon I can get the car tinted he said 30 days.

30 days seems a bit crazy, I mean glue setting up and all that I get, but I think it should be good sooner than 30 days.

I called safelite and the lady on the phone put me on hold and came back with 5-7 days which seems much more reasonable.

Anyone here with any knowledge as to why the shop would say 30 days?

They're covering their bases. Most people won't care that much about waiting 30 days, and that virtually guarantees that anything that needs to settle has settled.

Realistically you're probably good 24 hours out. But if something does go wrong, they would blame you.
