Why not? Check-in. I checked NYS DMV which has open data on registrations and see there are 2144 Tesla Model S's registered in New York. Not too many really and I did not check further for X or Roadsters due mostly to laziness. Curious how many California has. Though the numbers are low I was unable to get "AMPED" or a few other custom plates I wanted. I went with AMPDTSLA which was available. It will look a little silly on my Yukon until the S comes in

According to that site Tesla makes gasoline and diesel cars. And I know at least 2 cars from my county are missing (mine and the person who sits next to me at work). Tesla is no Volkswagen but folks with these VINs might want to check under their hood just to be sure. ;-)

Ulster county here. I know some NYers register their car under an NJ business to save on sales tax. Unfortunately this was not an option for me.

Also in Ulster County. The vehicle registrations database in the NY Open Data portal (https://data.ny.gov/Transportation/Vehicle-Snowmobile-and-Boat-Registrations/), filtered by make, shows 2162 Teslas in NYS, 12 of them in Ulster County--including a record for mine.

There are a few of us out here, but not many. Too many people still stuck with z-Germans.

z-German's was my plan. I am so glad I did not buy that 535i last year. Sometimes the best decisions are the ones you did not make.

'Soon'-to-be owner of a Model 3 here (temporarily in Maryland, but should get delivery of my car once I'm back in Dutchess/Putnam county). Apologies for the slight hijacking of this thread, but wanted to humbly ask if anyone in the Dutchess County area would be willing to show off their Tesla around September 22-24? I've test driven a Model S via Tesla officially, and an awesome member here on TMC let me actually drive his Model S the other day down here in Maryland... but in a few weeks I'll be visiting family/friends in NY and would love if they could get the same opportunity to see a Tesla from the inside. I've begged them to check out the closest store down in Mt. Kisco but they aren't as obsessed as I am!
