No footrest?

Hey everyone,

I noticed on my new MX that there is no plastic foot rest in the footwell, just carpet.

Is this normal now, I’ve seen one on others so guessing they removed it recently?

AFAIK, there never has been anything but carpet. The floor mats cover it

Correct. I was referring to the optional Tesla/weathertech mats. The ones that come with the car do not.

If it's removable, I want mine out. I've hated that feature since they started adding it to cars in the 90s.

I don't have one on my early build, so unless it's something that's come and gone you were probably looking at photos of something aftermarket.

Are you looking at the UK version of the site? It is country specific. You can throw the whole site to "en_GB" (links at the bottom of the page) But it does not actually have the store available. Maybe they don't sell accessory stuff in UK. Beats me.

I think we're talking about different things (either you and OP or me and OP). If you're describing a piece of plastic built into the carpet where the faux wheel well is, then I don't know or care about that because the all weather mats cover it, but it could be aftermarket Velcro or something. I thought we were talking about the faux wheel well itself. I'm sure your early build has that, because I've been in signature series models that have it and my mid-2017 build also does.

Yeah there is no accessories store in the UK. You have to ask the SC for costs of everything total pita

Yes, I was talking about a plastic piece on the footrest. I have the all weather mats as well so it's not an issue, but I know I've also seen aftermarket covers sold for it for people who have carpet mats. Tesla has never included anything from the factory as far as I know of though.
