OEM Roof Crossbars impact on efficiency/range?

Hi all — I have a 1000 mile road trip this weekend and am contemplating leaving my OEM roof crossbars on the car (all attachments have been removed). They seem fairly aerodynamic and don’t make a peep (again, without attachments) — am I asking for “trouble”? How much of an efficiency hit should I expect to take? Thanks in advance for any insights (better still: personal experience). Be well. MJP
