Tesla needs to seriously redesign the backup camera... let’s see how bad your backup camera is in the rain.

When getting in your car, you should always walk around the back and give the backup camera lens a swipe with your thumb. See the owner's manual, pg 106.

It was clean when we left...
Hasn’t changed or helped since 2018...

I had an interesting experience this last weekend with the backup camera. It got covered with 2mm+ of mud. And nowhere else, had the mud dried, except on the backup camera lens. 2017 MX. Could be circumstantial... but is there any reason to think the backup camera ---might--- have a heater?
