Opt out arbitration clause

I searched the forums for this and only found it related to the autos. Have any of you opted out of arbitration after signing the agreement? Looks like you can do it for 30 days after signing. Not sure if it's worth it.

Yeah, I opted out, for the minor extra effort of mailing a letter it seemed worth it to me to not be locked-in to something I might regret later.

Yeah, you got me. In hindsight I should have sent it certified mail. I did keep a copy for myself.

Just found out there's opt out option today. Has anyone opted out? If you opt out, does it mean that you can bring them to court if something bad happens and don't have to go thru arbitration?

Yes. As I said above, always opt out.

Arbitration is for Tesla’s benefit, not yours.

Not always these days. Attorneys have figured out how to mass file arbitration cases. Amazon just quit using arbitration because of the upfront costs.

it turns out they did add the opt-out letter to the documents area of the powerwall order management page.

I sent in the certified opt out letter this morning.

So, my order has been dragged on for a long time. Finally got an installation date for next week, Due to panel shortages, Tesla has revised the order agreement to change the panels from the 425W to the 400W.

Now the question, do I need to send new opt out letter to Tesla due to the "new" order?
