Ordered SR+ Feb 28, 2019 - now what?

I'd like to apologize, it's only been a few days since I filled out the forms online, and received an email with an order agreement PDF in it. That's it, the next step they say is they will give me a call.

This is the first time buying anything of this magnitude online, let alone a car - so i feel rather nervous. I guess mostly over next steps, and does Tesla's 2 week window, actually mean 2 weeks?

After all, many of us waited 3 years since making a reservation - myself included.

Basically my question is - what next? They call...deliver the car, and I complete the payment details etc?

Thanks for any info.

...Maybe I should just call and ask?...

It doesn't hurt to call.

For my case, I check both e-mails and my Tesla Account Web page.

It'll ask you to upload some info like Driver License, Insurance... and to fill out your bank's info so they can transfer the amount directly...

Then someone would call you to arrange delivery.

Nothing to be worried about.
Upload info/docs
VIN assign
Payment via ACH, check or cashier check
delivery most like in 2-4 weeks

Download checklist. Inspect car at delivery

Thanks, you're a rockstar.

I've uploaded info / docs, and received 2nd email with:

"We are drafting up your contract and will contact you when you can make your final payment."...

Haven't had a VIN assigned yet...so I'm assuming the robots are busy at work as we speak :)

Are you doing financing or paying full? In my case, I'm doing the latter - but it never asked me for bank info.

Like everyone here said, just get all the documents up and submitted on the website.

For me, when the time came to deliver the car Tesla reached out to me. Verified my documents and then payment method.

Until then, just get excited. Also you have a beautiful car, you will want to take care of it.

Highly recommend:

1.) This for the outside - https://www.amazon.com/Aero-Cosmeti...0543&s=gateway&sprefix=car+wax,aps,237&sr=8-8

2.) This for the inside: https://www.amazon.com/CarGuys-Supe...gateway&sprefix=car+guys+inter,aps,215&sr=8-5

Thanks Grim, i'm BEYOND excited...which is why I'm nervous. If it was a mini-van, I wouldn't waste a thought on it.

I've been prepping the garage for the charger, cleaning out the space so I can do rinseless washes etc. So thank you for sending me those product links. Have you used ONR before? A lot of detailing folks seem to use that

Optimum No-Rinse:

I also haven't been reading about people who have done full wraps - either Ceramic coat, or some other variation ( I think plastic film wrap). Sounds very interesting, but also really expensive.

What do you think? Is it worth it?

That ONR looks nice as well. I'm sure you can't go wrong with either.

The one I have makes the car look brand new each time I use it, to the point where 7 months after purchase I still get comments saying the car looks like we just got it. I generally do the rinseless wash every 1-2 weeks to keep it looking fresh. It doesn't take that long and I want to keep the car looking good.

I'm 50/50 on ceramic coating. I won't lie I am considering getting it, but part of me thinks I maybe should have got it right when the car was brand new.
