One thing I really liked about Tesla (long time ago before I even got my 1st Tesla) was the smooth and easy experience with the “sales locations/shop”, even after a test-drive. No question asked, given the keys, test drive, handed keys back, out.
I drive a Model S now. Recently I wanted my wife to test-drive a Model X to see if she likes it. We went to a Tesla shop, and the someone from sales asked 2-3 questions and felt like he would like to hang out with us around the car, showing it to us… I told him I have a Tesla already and i think we are good for the test drive, so he left.
After we came back from the test drive, he kind of was waiting for us, and started asking 100 questions… what do u think, would like to order one, when do u think u want to order one, oh we have inventory, it’s better than ordering new, oh I can help u with an online order… it took me 15 min to be able to leave the shop. Even then, during the next 2 weeks I’d get a call and text almost every 3-5 days. When did tesla switch to this nasty high-pressure sale approach? That’s not good at all…
