OVMS Firmware Update Procedure

Looks like for Windows to program with the Pickit3 you need to down load the PICkit 3 GUI and Scripting Tool v3.00 BETA zipfile, then run the "PICkit3.exe" file. You can download this zipfile from:

FYI - A problem I saw:

I couldn't get the hardware to work properly with my laptop. Sometimes the programmer GUI wouldn't see the programmer, and when the programmer GUI did see the programmer, it mis-identified the type of the part to be programmed. These problems persisted over multiple reboots of the laptop. I switched to another PC and it work fine on the first try. I have had a reasonable amount of problems with the USB ports on the laptop (often the laptop won't recognize that something has been connected to one of the USB ports).

I updated my firmware update page to include the 1.5.1 firmware and photos showing how to orient the programmer on the V2 hardware.

Looks good. One correction: the V2 hardware uses 18F2685, and V2 uses 18F2680.

I assume you mean the V2 hardware uses 18F2685, and V1 uses 18F2680. If so, it's fixed.

Just a quick thank you to MPT after he recently updated my OVMS firmware for me. New version works a treat and I'm having a lot of fun controlling the garage door from my phone (I know there are other new features, but that's my favourite so far). "Thanks MPT, wherever you are!"

Just saw a function advertised for the yet-to-be-built mojo car interface that would be cool to have on our OVMS App: It notifies you if your car has been broken into or is being towed. Could this be added to our App?
