Another update for folks. Things definitely seem to be picking up. I just got a call from my IDA to inform me that my car is ready for delivery. Specs are MSM P3D+/EAP/FSD/black interior. Current Model S owner, no reservation, placed order on 8/6/18, picking up from Fremont on 8/27/18.

Interestingly, I can still 'edit design' using the html link even though my delivery appointment now appears on my account page.

Agreed, well I’m actually happy to hear that. I’m trying to wrap my head around this as I ordered a MSM PM3 on 7-13-2018, owned two P100D, 3-31-2016 reservation holder, paying cash with no trade and I haven’t heard $hit other than we don’t know. These people have their head squarely up their arse.

I've been checking the link all day, so was quite surprised to receive the phone call from the IDA. Perhaps if the link becomes inactive that may be a precursor to getting a VIN assignment or phone call, but not in my case. First notice was a phone call, followed by an email from her about 15 minutes later. She said they've staffed up at Fremont and offered a delivery time as late as 7:45pm.

No reservation and you get the car in 3 weeks? Holy smokes. Serious? This kinda seems like when anyone could walk in and get a white interior P3D+ as they were catching up. There are train loads of people waiting years here. Still.

So I had sent customer support a message 7 days ago asking if I have a VIN. I just now got a reply:

Hi CrazyCoconut,

Thanks for contacting Tesla with your inquiry. I don't have a timeline for when your VIN will be assigned. However, once the VIN is assigned your delivery specialist will reach out to schedule delivery.

You can view your estimated delivery date by logging in your Tesla account, and selecting Manage next to your order.

Wow that REALLY pisses me off because I've been waiting almost 2 months for a Blue P3D+ black.
And my reservation is 2 years 2 months old.
Maybe you got priority from EAP and FSD = more profitable?

Optimistically, since that’s actually an improvement for you, maybe “by Oct” really implies they are going to try to cram all of our P3D deliveries in before end of Q3. Wishful thinking maybe.
