P85D & P90D - 2019.20.1 Firmware

This site may earn commission on affiliate links.
Tagging as many P85D and P90D owners as I can find to see if anyone has "gulp" updated to 2019.20.1.

If you're like me and had your car borked with firmware after 2018.50.x, then you're probably deathly afraid of updating.

Curious to know if any of you have taken the plunge and have any feedback - considering what we all just went through.

I have not seen any issues with 2019.20.1 yet, that said, I did not try launch yet, but that was fixed in earlier firmware and worked fine since.
Unfortunately, I can't trust them to do anything right after this mess. Other than having a few annoyances with various features (phone bluetooth, lag on push to talk, browser not functional), everything seems fine. I don't want to risk updating until someone can confirm the performance features and output are the same as 16.2

Teslafi reports this going to Model 3 almost exclusively. Hardly any non Model 3 being offered 2019.20 yet.

When 2019.2x comes out for Model S/X there will be a thread for people to report decreased regen, decreased power, broken USB, nags, phantom braking, truck lust and all the other maladies of updates.

I updated yesterday thinking I was going to a 2019.20.x, but I ended up getting firmware 2019.16.3.2. For reference my car is a 2016 Facelift P90DL with AP1. Everything is working as it should, Ludicrous plus enabling max battery, and launch mode works. I wish it would say what version you are updating to before you start, but unfortunately it doesn’t.

Was hoping someone on the list updated. Saw a handful of 85's and 90's on TeslaFi
