When did you originally order? I ordered white on white September 13th and am holding out a sliver of hope I'll see it before the end of the quarter since I can take delivery in Fremont.
Hi there, I ordered on 9/17. I got texts over the weekend that my car was on its way, got final paperwork email on Sunday. Picking up the car tomorrow at MDR delivery center. Less than two weeks. I believe its due to the end of the quarter and the push to deliver over 100K cars.

I placed my order on August 12th, so I was in the "long wait" batch when Tesla re-purposed a number of factories to fulfill international orders. Best of luck on a quick delivery!

At the risk of sounding like a broken record to many in this forum, it's absolutely 100% worth the wait... even if not by EOQ.

Ugh delivery delayed.. seems no one knows where and when these cars are actually showing up.. now told the delivery truck broke down last night.. I swear I heard someone else here told the same story..

they really need better coordination..
Same issue.. going to take two weeks+ to get a car transported from LA to the bay area. 5.5 hour drive.. These contract auto transport businesses are garbage.

I agree, my guys been responsive when I shoot him a text, even got my MVPA done today on his day off. Including the online ordering / securing my loan and talking to them today I have only spend maybe an hour dealing with all this. The agony has been waiting. Wednesday cannot come soon enough as long as they don't push that back lol.
I am picking up tomorrow at 9am in costa mesa. I did make a phone call to get my MVPA pushed into my portal to make sure i could get it to my credit union, but that only took 10 minutes (i asked a bunch of other questions too) and i have the agreement within 30 minutes.
So far every one i have talked to at the costa mesa delivery center has been very helpful. Hope tomorrow goes well!

Did you call the local SC for the MVPA? I've been asking my SA for it for the last 2 days so that I can get a check cut for Fridays delivery

Contacted the 888 number today as I've not heard anything from Tesla since getting my VIN (514XXX) on Sunday. Mainly the question was what the status of the $1k interior color credit was as my "pay the remaining balance" amount is not including the discount. Sounds like it's now up in the air since there's realistically no way I'm getting my car prior to Oct 1. The rep did tell me that my car is produced, but not on a truck going to the nearest facility yet. August 20th order, VIN in source 9/22.

Confirmed by my SA that I didn't get approved for my complimentary interior upgrade. I do, however get 2 years of free supercharging. So, yay for that I guess

Holy cow I finally got through to the delivery center and talked to a person! It actually took me off guard that someone answered. I explained that I need to get the loan finalized tomorrow in order to make the tentative delivery date. I also asked how solid the delivery appointment was. He said he'd make the changes to my purchase agreement and get it emailed to me as soon as it's done. He said he'd have to check with his logistics guy on the appointment but will let me know when he emails me the purchase agreement.

It's amazing what talking to a person that has a slight idea of what's going will do. I feel much better about this purchase again.

Pick up is today at 1:30 in Costa Mesa. I have my check list and mudflaps in hand. Wish me luck!

Spoke too soon about no issues. My car has 7 miles on it at delivery and is a September built car. Roughly 24 hours after delivery here is what I have noticed:

1.) Paint defects on right fender/hood.
2.) Paint defects on inline paint on the interior right curvature of front Trunk.

3.) Auto steer is inconsistent / does not work.
4.) Steering wheel making a grinding / squeaking noise when turned.

5.) Clicking / rattling sound coming from driver's side.
6.) Excessive wind noise from driver's side.
7.) Windshield distortion spot. This is not a crack or scratch - it is a spot on the windshield that almost looks like a magnifying glass when looked at from a certain angle.

8.) Minor interior scuff on rear right passenger's.
9.) Alignment - car pulls to the right a tad.
10.) T emblem on steering wheel has indentation/shadow/stain that follows the curvature of the T.
11.) Charging interrupted overnight using NEMA 14-50 home outlet.

I am confident most things will be resolved but am concerned about the cosmetic items. My list was shorter for the delivery adviser yesterday and she said they would get back to me in the morning. Since I spoke to her, I emailed her more issues - a different adviser said 4:30 today. I love the car and want to keep it - so long they present me with a due bill. I was hoping to get the car full front PPF coverage but that will have to stay on hold until/if they fix the paint issues. Perhaps I'll have them cover the bumper and the headlights with PPF and wait on the hood/fenders until this is resolved. Opinions would be appreciated. Thanks!

I never that email. If I had a Sales associate or delivery specialist to at least voice my concerns with out wouldn't be that bad. But apparently my delivery specialist wants to remain anonymous until the delivery day.

I never got assigned anyone either, the only thing I knew was that I was picking up from the Buena Park delivery center but throughout the entire process I never had a named Tesla employee assigned to me and when I would call they would just say "oh you don't have anyone assigned to you" but I guess everything worked out in the end and they were pretty responsive when it wasn't a question about perks. Hope you get your car soon!

This terrifies me and breaks my heart all at the same time. Hopefully no one else goes through this.

It's actually not nearly as bad as it sounds. Many of the other issues appear to have had resolutions based on my reading and are not uncommon for this car. Ya...it sucks, and I'm a SUPER anal person about this stuff - but I'm actually pretty good about it if they resolve it. The adviser contacted me back and said they would take care of me through good will, not a due bill. I asked for that info in writing and he said he would email me in 30 min (30 min ago). I'll follow up tomorrow if the email doesn't come through.

For those dreading your pickup thinking you're going to get a huge heap of *sugar*.....

I picked up my M3P today. Process was completely painless and straightforward. Car is absolutely flawless other than the crooked steering wheel (why is this so common!) and a tiny door ding and accompanying light, not paint-deep scratch on the driver side door. I tried to wax it off, but it's going to need something a little heavier duty to remove and fill. I scheduled service for both and that's happening in 6 days (no big deal).

Otherwise 100% perfect, no misaligned anything commensurate with a typical "new" car. I went in terrified based on 6 months of reading horror stories and came out pleasantly surprised.

:) - Don't mind the back-end looking so high up, the driveway is on a steep incline.

I love this car.... so worth the wait!
