Just got my text from Tesla to schedule delivery. First available slot in Dedham, MA was 9/4. White/White Performance.

UPDATE: Got another seemingly automated text with a link asking me to schedule my delivery day! Currently set for 9/4 @ 12p (the earliest available haha).

Does anyone know if the garage door opener would be installed before delivery if you request it from the delivery store?

I have previously read on other threads, NO. You won't even be able to order it from the Tesla online shop until you have your VIN.

Well hopefully they will come to my house since it’s an 1:15min drive from me. Id hate to have to go there just for that. I know I’ve heard of a mobile tech installing it at your home or work.

I don’t think it will be any drastic changes for the Model 3, besides who knows until they implement if any changes worth waiting for. You’d have to wait even longer to wait for your car.

When I picked up my car, Tesla ran out of the temp registration window stickers. I’ve made a number of attempts to get one, but have been unsuccessful. Would you please pick up an extra one and mail it to me? I’d be willing to cover the charges and a bit extra.

I keep seeing this rumor circulating, but Elon Musk himself in June said there are no current plans for a larger battery pack for the model 3 in development:

another PA guy here waiting on my M3P white/black. got the text but nothing else yet. also planning on pick up at Devon. I test drove a white M3P at KOP to Devon and back. knew I had to have it after that!

That’s awesome! Congrats! Also keep us up to date, we might all meet there hopefully soon! I haven’t heard anything either since last Wednesday about the 2-5wk. I just want my car nowwwwww! Lol

Wow you ordered 2 weeks before me and nothing yet? Damn I’m scared lol. But from what I hear we should have them by the end of next month since it’s the end of the quarter but definitely hope it’s not that long!

You’d think the performance orders would be fulfilled quicker since my guess is that they’re not as popular as the SR and LR right? But it doesn’t seems that way lol
I looked back at the trend for the last end of quarter sales. Typically Tesla does foreign country orders, then moves to domestic. Last quarter they went from east coast first to west coast last. Given they want all of the sales to be reported for Q3 earnings, all vehicles will be delivered before the end of September. Performance tended to be later in all of this as well for whatever reason.

My only guess is that since they sell more of the other models so they make those first. I also have noticed by looking at the trends that they move orders to the US at the end of the quarter but I’m getting so inpatient lol

Going by the text msgs people are getting including the one I got last week, it seems like we are all destined for either the 2nd or 3rd week of September for delivery.
