Taking off mirror cap would definitely help. Also, don't be afraid to manually move mirror housing outward to get easier access to inner area near window. It make a loud clicking sound, but it's made to "break away" like that and won't damage the folding mechanism/motor.

Finished my chrome delete today. Definitely a learning experience. Luckily, I started on the passenger side so I don’t have to obsess over my imperfections (as much) every time I approach the car. Thanks @vogz for the suggestions. Mirrors were definitely easier off the car than on! Wolfgang deep gloss kit in the mail, so a nice shine is up next.

Your car looks great and your chrome delete looks nice in the pics !! Did you install using a bulk roll of vinyl or did you buy a pre-cut kit ?

Thanks! I used the @Nikola Pro kit. Stephen was kind enough to send me a custom kit. Satin black trim and mirrors with gloss black handles and autopilot.
I hope the Wolfgang will be a decent compromise between DIY and full ceramic coating.
Finally completed the chrome delete. Took a long time to muster the courage to do the mirrors and the side cameras. The side cameras are the most difficult to get 100% clean. Mine still aren’t but good enough... for now.

Looks great! Given you have red brake calipers, red T logos front & back, and plan on going with red wheel caps, I highly recommend wrapping your door handles in red too. That would look sick!

I'll think about that. I want to see how it looks with red on the wheels first and maybe the Ts on the side cameras.
