I think the front view looks great. I'd take it over the A4. Does the grill really need that many lines?

Imagine how many steaks you could cook on that grill!

Moulded in rim protector on the Michelin tire didn't help much. The Conti's on the 19" LR have a great moulded in rim protector. More prominent.

Those rims look like they were made for 245 or even wider tires.

But the one you refer to is an optical illusion caused by the loss of depth due to the camera lens combined with the lack of traditional depth cues we would use to interpret it correctly due to the all glass roof. If you were actually looking at the car instead of a single picture, the wonders of stereoscopic vision and context cues from a dynamic image would instantly prove your assessment wrong.

This is not a good photo of the Model 3 ... looks like a cartoon car compared to the Model S/X
The glass greenhouse is too high and the front duck bill is way too pronounced by comparison.

Those rims look like they were made for 245 or even wider tires.

The wheel rim lip appears to quite thick. More for wheel appearance than function. Instead of it forming the conventional bead it looks like the bead is behind the lip. From certain angles this would make the wheel/tire look wider. When viewed from behind Tesla also, visually with bodywork, made the track appear wider.
