I know, no matter HOW much it wins by it’s a tough sell at that price comparison. The average person can’t afford a 250k vehicleHmmm, 250k vs 88k I know which one won for me.
I did notice that. Didn’t they normally trap 150-152I’m convinced Tesla nerfed the plaids after 21 MY and has something to do with the startup vibration that only happens on 22+. New ones aren’t even trapping 150 anymore.
Not sure that I seen anyone hit that number. Regarding the “nerf” conspiracy it does seem they are still achieving the same quarter mile time and 0-60 so not sure why that would be assumed.I did notice that. Didn’t they normally trap 150-152
They were absolutely trapping 151-152 and as put can see the brand new plaid on the same track running 9.33 at 149.Not sure that I seen anyone hit that number. Regarding the “nerf” conspiracy it does seem they are still achieving the same quarter mile time and 0-60 so not sure why that would be assumed.
I will never ever give my money to the Saudis. NEVER!Haven’t even watched it yet lol
I’m not convinced by this at all. And I don’t think that startup vibration is meaningful in any way when it comes to acceleration.I’m convinced Tesla nerfed the plaids after 21 MY and has something to do with the startup vibration that only happens on 22+. New ones aren’t even trapping 150 anymore.
Its obviously not directly related but there’s a hardware or software change which resulted in the vibration. There’s certainly some preliminary evidence the newer plaid is slower than the original in the 1/4 mileI’m not convinced by this at all. And I don’t think that startup vibration is meaningful in any way when it comes to acceleration.
If it is truly trapping lower that would suggest they cut power. Not sure that I seen anyone hit that number. Regarding the “nerf” conspiracy it does seem they are still achieving the same quarter mile time and 0-60 so not sure why that would be assumed.
I’m pretty sure they still list the plaid as trapping 155 Eventhough it never did.
I was informed by one of the engineers at tesla that the cars had a power reduction at a certain speed some customers after reviewing data sent back had front lifted which was a major concern. If you look at the time slip from Jay leno it proved that the car was way faster . Jay lenno is not 150lb for sure and yes the track was prepped. Even his 1/8 mile time and trap was much higher than and stock full weight plaid can do. Andrews plaid has weight reduction enabling him to achieve 9.2s ( which is what the car did when jay lenno ran it with 21 inch wheels. ) . Either way the car is still stupid fast and until the plaid + or roadster comes out we just have to wait and seeI’m convinced Tesla nerfed the plaids after 21 MY and has something to do with the startup vibration that only happens on 22+. New ones aren’t even trapping 150 anymore.
