2020 just keeps getting better- received my WA license plates today from FedEx delivery from Tesla.. BUC19... Big-Ugly-Car, Built-Under-Covid, Blue-Ugly-Cra.. ugh thanks WA- pretty much forcing my hand on spending on a personalized license plate (just mailed in an application); wife actually suggested doing it, so it's pretty bad

For anyone else expecting a registration soon, I hope you fare better or don't mind this.

Took delivery of my Model Y today in Portland, Mine is Red with Black, 19” wheels, NO FSD, with Tow Hitch. It was the only read one on the delivery lot. The car is beautiful and BiG! Only had a few issues, a small scratch on corner of front bumper, sanding mark on back of side mirror, scratch on back of drivers seat, and possibly adhesive or chips in front windshield. Tesla documented these issues and I already have a service appointment. However on the way home, I noticed a LOUD rattle in the passenger front door. Something is loose inside so that definitely needs to be fixed. All in all it’s a very nice car. Traded in my Model 3 and was a little sad but I do like the Y. The people at the Portland SC were great but very busy. One last thing, they apologized because they had run out of the wheel covers and told me that they’d send then to me soon. I was very happy because I was going to take them off immediately. Mine was the only one without the covers. I don’t think the wheels are bad but I’ve already ordered some custom wheels for it.

Great delivery experience today in Portland. A few minor issues which the delivery specialist noted down but fortunately no paint or major panel gaps. One of the plastic cover clips under the hood was broken, and right tail light needs to be adjusted.

We saw 3 trucks full of Teslas headed north in our drive from Portland to Eugene, so hopefully there will be a lot more PNW deliveries in the next few days.

I've been seeing so many go to east coast and Cali and everywhere in between, but seems to be really sparse for the PNW (WA or OR). Has anyone gotten to set a date to pick up? I can wait, no issues there. More just curious as to why there seems to be so little activity even though it isn't as far as many of the states that are getting vehicles already.

I called the SC that mine is going to be delivered to and they said they were/are getting some delivered soon or are on the way already but didn't provide anything more than that.

Hmm. Well we cot the June 1 text, the 1-2 week text then an automated text last sunday saying pickup 6/28-30. After that, crickets. And tonight we suddenly have a VIN. No other communication. Hmm. So we were going to head south to Southern OR this week. I wonder what this means for timing. Picking up in Portland whenever it happens.

Picked up my red Y (19", No FSD, LR AWD) today in Renton. Almost perfect car with the biggest issue being taillight gap and a minor scratched on the underside of a door handle. Car was super clean, with no dirty hand marks or anything. SC staff were super helpful.

While I was taking delivery, a whole truck load of White Y's showed up. I saw maybe 1-2 other red Y's in the lot. Good luck to everyone picking up the white Y's from renton tomorrrow!

Picked up our MSM, AWD, 19s, black int., tow hitch today in Renton. Wonderful experience. Minor issues only. Juiced up in Cle Elum, and still made it to Walla Walla with more than 20% remaining. Super-pleased. A bit bigger inside than we imagined. Moving from a ‘19 RAV4. Our first EV. Waiting on the HPWC install now.

I just mailed in my application too. Do you know how long does it take normally? I know the website says 8 weeks, just being curious.

I had not done this before so it could be that long or longer. The unfriendly staff at univ. village DOL where my registration came from, said on the phone that the office that handles personalized license plates is closed for some time due to COVID / furloughs so could be a while before it’s processed.
