If considered as a boat to cross a river, a lake, or even seas,
it needs to get registered as a boat and each occupant must wear a safety jacket.
There might be other regulations such as having green, red, and white lights,
having an anchor, dock lines and transom eyes to get tow if disabled, an echo radar reflector....

Why not use wording that doesn’t do that. ?
“Yes, I believe all that Elon says”. Really, that’s how you word it. That’s not referencing water proofing now is it.

Folks have been making statements doubting Elon, his goals, and visions since the early 2000’s. Many of them are struggling with looming bankruptcy now.
Anyway, amphibious cars are not new. It wouldn’t be a great feat to make it work for short distances.
