originally the button was to download FSD beta, not to apply to get in. So the real question would really be do you think anyone who wants the FSD beta(and paid for it) can get it by the end of the year.

No. It was supposed to be an FSD beta download button, not a take-a-14-day-test-drive teaser-button button.

Many pushed the button, passed the driving test with flying colors of 100/100 scores, and still have not gotten the download. And now for the majority, the 14-day test drive becomes a longer test drive while begging for the download with no clear plan in sight.

No - it was always a way to "request" FSD beta download. Not stated as a request button, though.

BTW, what I find funny is that everyone wants Tesla to be flexible and agile - except when it comes to some individual items.

Correct. He labeled it as "Download Button" and not as "Pass your score" or any other kind of button.

I'm sure if creating FSD was as simple as servicing ice-cream Elon would have distributed it to everyone.
