Premium Connectivity cost $9.99/month for many Model 3 versions

Will you subscribe to premium connectivity?

I'm with you. I want live traffic and am full willing to pay $10/mo for it along with the other services. I am still in the trial period of premium connectivity in my SR+ so I have spotify, streaming audio, caraoke, browser; but not traffic or satellite view. I'm wondering if I will finally get traffic with my paid subscription. If not, then I guess I'm dumping the subscription quickly. I couldn't care less about streaming audio or browser or caraoke. I just want the traffic.

I can confirm now, as others have, that I have all features of paid premium connectivity on my SR+ after adding the subscription on my Tesla account. Not sure why Tesla chose to withhold traffic and satellite on the trial version, but clearly pop up when you sign on to pay for it.

If you didn't order your car, regardless of what version, prior to 7/1/18 then Tesla didn't care if you wanted to order a LR version or not. "Evil trick" "punish", give me a break.

Just to clarify, I'm not upset about $10/mo for the connectivity. I was worried that two specific features, traffic and satellite, would never be included even when I paid for connectivity. I was joking that Tesla might have been using that to incentivize purchasing the dual-motor version.

I want all the creature comforts and bells and whistles inside...just don't need the big battery and two motors. I outfitted my SR+ with the 19" wheels, blue paint, white interior, and FSD from the factory. Since owning, I have bought the Tesla-branded floor mats, trunk mat, integrated Homelink, and now premium connectivity. Not sure why Tesla can't make a full premium interior with the small battery and one motor.

I read through most of the thread but didn't see addressed..sorry if I missed ..

If you go to OP in this thread, it's March 2019 and discussion is how the "1 year" mention on the order page was removed from the Model 3 order site...

That's when I ordered.

Then a month or 2 later, the phrasing saying premium connectivity was only for 1 year came back..

Soo... Do those who ordered in March 2019 when the website dropped the mention of 1 year limit have a case for lifetime connectivity??

I'm honestly shocked I'm going to start having to pay for this next year...

Agree. I’d love to have the upgraded audio. I’m still stoked about the premium connectivity even if I have to pay!

I admit it would have been nice if they could have offered it for free to everyone, but I was someone who factored in this feature when I purchased in June 2018. I took delivery in August 2018 and it was reassuring hearing the delivery specialist confirm that I would keep the premium connectivity at no charge for the life of the car. I have a grandfathered unlimited data plan with ATT so I don't have the ability to create a free mobile hotspot, so in that sense, it's nice knowing that my reasoning back then wasn't irrelevant.

You cancelled your order or your reservation? two completely different things and some people on here seem to use them interchangeably but it makes a difference.

I believe I got a chance to order

Early on Tesla explained how priority for ordering would go. Tesla gave employees first shot at ordering their cars as thank you for their contributions to the company. Then previous and current Telsa owners were next in line since their support early on helped them get to the point of being able to mass produce a Model 3, then reservation holders who were non-owners were next for waiting in line and early ones also were given the die-cast when they picked up their cars, then at some point it was opened to the public who hadn't reserved prior. Not sure what wasn't right about that but I thought it was pretty fair and liked that Tesla acknowledged and gave the priority to those that helped get them to that point.
As a long term TSLA investor (since mid 2013), I gladly welcome this change. It will keep the company healthy and the customers are getting a pretty good deal.

I can’t remember when I first bought my small share of stock. It was at 89/share. Is that when you bought or did you get it while it was in the 30 range?

lol no. If I don’t get it by buying in Aug 2018 you definitely don’t get it.

You have the option to add premium sound it just costs money as speakers are not physically wired and there is not a physical subwoofer (or amp) in a non-Premium vehicle.

Yeah, but i’m not sure i trust the local auto shop to work on my tesla and even though i am technically inclined, based on the photos and description of the process it’s more than i want to tackle. I’d rather pay tesla $2K than the local shop.... if i was in california where there are specialty tesla shops, it would be different.... but around here the sound guy is a 23 year old dwayne johnson wannabe driving a 1993 honda. Not exactly what i’m going for.
