Thanks for this tip! I just did the same.
To clarify, the delta isI'm probably being an idiot, but I don't see a chat option on that page. I'm scheduled to take delivery of my LR AWD on 7/22, and obviously want that 3k.
I can just contact the Tesla service center where I'm supposed to pick it up from...
To clarify, the delta is
- $3k for LRAWD
- $2k for LRAWD w/ FSD
- $1k for performance
-$0 for performance w/FSD
Sweet. Can confirm my cost of my car was 62,990 and it is now 60,990.
Guess I got my money back for changing my order after my initial deposit when the Y was first announced.
I have to check my paperwork. I have a midnight silver PUP and I thought it was 62,990, not including the 1200 destination, and it now shows that config as 59,990. I’ll check my paperwork but even 1,000 I’d like to have.If you have the performance it’s only a 1k drop. If you have performance and FSD, the FSD price increase nullifies it.
I can’t “edit” my order. What does that mean?
I’m thinking they only owe me a grand but I’ll happily take it.
I took delivery on the 9th, why would that be a problem? I can return it till this Weds.If you took delivery before July 4, good luck with that
Because once you’re out of the return window (7 days), they have no reason to refund you the $1kI took delivery on the 9th, why would that be a problem? I can return it till this Weds.
They just changed the EPA rating. The key to unlocking the extra miles is your foot.Oh it is.. but seriously how did it get 291 miles, would love the details there! Don't get me wrong still love the car, just would like the extra miles unlocked if possible
Ok, I’m not, as stated in my first post, so I should be ok.Because once you’re out of the return window (7 days), they have no reason to refund you the $1k
You’re okay to return it. You just cannot order a new one for another year.Ok, I’m not, as stated in my first post, so I should be ok.
On my S there was a software update that simply said changed calculation to reflect EPA rating fwiw. I’m assuming that’ll happen here, no real change just a change in the calculation. They just changed the EPA rating. The key to unlocking the extra miles is your foot.
You can order a different trim, like a performanceYou’re okay to return it. You just cannot order a new one for another year.
I’m assuming they’ll just adjust folks who are inside the return window. For me it’s a grand not a huge deal. For others it’s > 5%, if they are in NJ and they at or below 55,000 sticker it’s worth an additional 5,000 bucks. You’re okay to return it. You just cannot order a new one for another year.
It didn’t get extra miles the EPA rating is now 291. When that happened on my S they released software that just adjusted the calculation to reflect the new ratings.Oh it is.. but seriously how did it get 291 miles, would love the details there!
