I was extremely lucky to get my Model 3 free of swirls. (Obviously had a few paint defects but I can live with that).

The detailers at the Fremont Hub know what they are doing. Unfortunately, the delivery specialists sometimes go around wiping the cars with some sort of pink liquid and cloth. Bad Idea. Had lots of scratches on my Model X. I guess they were too busy when I got my Model 3

I got my black Model 3 at Bellevue Tesla this week. Experience was good. Black paint is a nightmare and mine was no exception. Lots of swirls etc. I don’t believe anyone who says their black Model 3 is free of swirls from delivery. You wipe it with a microfiber it WILL swirl. End of story.

Sadly this is extremely common, mine has many paint defects as well as swirl marks from the poor attemp to "detail" the car before delivery.
