Question about blind spot warning chimes

Hey all...

I have the blind spot warning chimes turned on, but I have never heard any type of warning sound from this. If I put my turn signal on and I see my car turn red meaning that someone is in the blind spot, shouldn't I also be hearing something too?

Does this only work with nav on or something?

Does anyone else hear a chime when the turn signal is on and a car approaches the blind spot? I just want to verify if it's working as it should, because I never hear anything.

It only makes a noise if you start to change lanes and someone is there.

Sort of related: was this added also to AP1 cars or it's not possible because of the lack of side cameras?

Ahh... That's disappointing... I mean, it's better than nothing, but I'd much rather know BEFORE I start to change lanes...
