Question on Quick Connection Phone Dock

I have an iPhone 6 and am interested in buying the Quick Connection Phone Dock. My car already came with the Center Console. My question is it easy to install the Quick Connection Phone Dock by yourself?

I can use this accessory for charging and avoid wires being displayed, correct?

its super easy, takes about 5 mins tops and the only thing needed is a screwdriver. Everything is tucked away and just the docking port shows. I have an extra one brand new in box dm me if interested.

Can you use it even it your phone is in a phone case?

It didn't work with a case on my Android. The plug doesn't stick up very far. The bottom edge of the case would have to be very thin.

I believe the new phone dock is basically same as the one for the previous Premium Front Console. There's an easy mod for that problem. See:

Haha, this is ingenious! I was getting tired of removing my phone from its case to charge it.

You're welcome! In my case I only had to shave a small amount off the strain relief and insert a piece of a toothpick to extend the connector enough to work with my thin case. Very quick and simple mod
